Four OCLI Vision Doctors Named Among Newsweek’s America’s Best Eye Doctors of 2023 including the Top Spot

This marks the third consecutive year that Dr. Donnenfeld, a nationally and internationally acclaimed ophthalmologist, is named in this annual ranking as the top ophthalmologist in the country.

Newsweek’s prestigious list recognizes the top 175 ophthalmologists and optometrists in the United States. Doctors are ranked based on their commitment to providing high-quality service, maintaining continuity of care, and employing state-of-the-art technology in their practices. Recognized as Newsweek’s best ophthalmologist in the country for three consecutive years (2021-2023), Dr. Eric D. Dr. Richard J. His practice, the first of its kind in New York to offer eye surgery and laser treatment without hospitalization, has been at the forefront of ophthalmology since its inception in 1973. Dr. Mackool has made significant contributions to microsurgery of the eye. He has published numerous scientific papers and textbooks and is renowned for his courses that attract eye surgeons worldwide.

Dr. Marguerite McDonald, a distinguished ophthalmologist and pioneer in refractive surgery, has been named in Newsweek’s America’s Best Eye Doctors 2023 list for the third year in a row. Renowned for her pioneering work in refractive surgery, including the development and implementation of the first excimer laser procedure, Dr. McDonald’s research has significantly advanced the field. She has been recognized with over 90 professional awards for her groundbreaking work and contributes actively to several clinical and scientific journals. This year she was inducted into the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Ophthalmology Hall of Fame.

Dr. Perry’s inclusion in this list is a testament to his exceptional skills, dedication, and contributions to the field of corneal and refractive surgery. As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Perry is one of the leading corneal and refractive surgeons in the country. His expertise extends globally, with international lectures to his credit. His efforts have earned him a series of accolades, including the Senior Honor Award and Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
